16. DOMAINE ASTRUC RESERVE PINOT NOIR
This wine has a light garnet red colour with fresh red fruit in the nose such as strawberries and cherries, but also typical pinot notes such as sweet spices and light vanilla.
In the mouth it is elegant with notes of red fruit (strawberries, cherries, raspberries) and caramel. Light tannins. This pinot noir offers a lot for the money. Nothing too much and everything nicely balanced.

35. VONDELING SHIRAZ
The wine a deep purple colour with flashes of scarlet. The ripe plum and mulberry aromas are uplifted with cherry blossom and violets, while infused with subtle cinnamon and aromatic white pepper. The palate is gentle and the tannins fresh but rounded. The aromatics continue into the palate with added blueberry, a hint of roasted black olives and soft-spoken sweet spice. A versatile, vibrant medium-bodied wine.

Fresh and intense aromas of greengage, pineapple and amalf lemon, with a hint of Asian spice. There is a coolness and fragrance that is very enticing. The finely exotic fruits are persistent, crisp and refreshing, and there is hint of creaminess on the finish.

48. POL ROGER BRUT RÉSERVE 'WHITE FOIL' (France)
Pol Roger was known to be Churchill’s favourite fizz, and it’s also the Champagne of choice for royal weddings. 33 metres below street level, Pol Roger’s cellars are three degrees cooler than other cellars in the region – a tiny variation which makes all the difference. It slows the fermentation right down, which intensifes flavours and creates extra fine, elegant bubbles. After four years of ageing, this Brut Réserve is well worth the wait. You’ll find aromas of pear, mango and honeysuckle, with ripe and developed flavours of quince, apricot and toasty brioche. The richness is balanced by a crisp, refreshing acidity. (Ve) (V)
